John Gerard is searching for prison guards before rappelling.

Although severely injured by torture, Gerard used a rope to lower himself above the walls and escape.

His exploits are recreated in a new, immersive experience in the Tower. There are few details, but you can expect to meet some of the Tower's most famous prisoners and receive secret messages in invisible ink before you watch a daring abseiling from the walls of the tower.

The entire experience lasts 30 minutes and is included in the standard ticket price. It's certainly a fun escape from reality for the whole family.

Johnny Clegg, South African singer and activist, dies aged 66 | Music

Clegg was born in 1953 in Bacup close to Manchester. His mom was a jazz singer from Zimbabwe (then Southern Rhodesia). After his mother and father divorced in his early childhood, she took him to Zimbabwe.
